Finca Caminantes is a very special property set in a stunning location with everything you would expect to find in an original Spanish Finca including beamed ceilings, terracotta flooring, and many rustic features including antique doors and windows and a beautiful stone fireplace for cozy winter evenings and there is a pretty courtyard area with a traditional covered Spanish summer kitchen, perfect for alfresco dining.

The grounds are also a feast for the eyes with many well-established shrubs and trees including orange, lemon, fig, pear, pomegranate, quince, black walnut, nispero, mulberry, Sharon, olive, and almond. Other species include fragrant pittosporum, jasmine, dama de noche, jacaranda, Washingtonian palms, a Judas tree, and two amazing ficus elasticas (rubber trees). On the ancient terraces, there are wildflowers, including orchids and mushroom varieties.

There are numerous areas to sit and take in the views that surround the house either in the sun or under the shade of the olive tree. The pool is surrounded by a large terrace with a pretty vine-covered lounge area to one side, the views from here are up to ancient Moorish terraces and the natural park, full of flora and fauna.

From the pool area, a pathway leads to a boules pitch and a large, flat area of land which can be used for a kitchen garden /orchard, sports area, or, depending on permission, a building plot.

  • The Finca is accessed via a mostly concreted country lane, 2 minute’s drive from the village. You enter through wrought iron gates onto the gravel driveway with space for several vehicles and a double carport. Walking between the two spectacular rubber trees takes you onto the south-facing front terrace of the Finca with views over the countryside.
  • To the southeast of the house, there is the swimming pool (10 x 5m external) with a large terrace, an attractive stone-built storage/tool shed, and a pool house. From here there are steps taking you up to the ancient Moorish terraces where there are several pathways and flat areas where you can sit and take in the breathtaking views down towards the Mediterranean. A path also takes you to a large communal water deposit where the water can be used for irrigation.
  • Also from the pool area, a pathway leads you down to the boules pitch and a large flat area of land perfect for a vegetable plot/orchard, etc. There is an irrigation system here with free mountain water!
  • At the back of the property, there is a pretty, internal gated courtyard with various plants and trees, a traditional Spanish summer kitchen with a double antique marble sink, a WC, and a utility room and there are numerous antique plant pots around the Finca. Continuing around the back of the property you return to the driveway.
  • The house is accessed through beautiful old wooden doors taking you into a spacious hallway (3.65 x 3.70m) a door to the left leads you through to the light and bright lounge area (50m2) with an attractive stone fireplace housing a wood-burning stove. Off from the lounge is the dining area (4.45 x 4.50m), from here you enter into the traditional, Spanish farmhouse kitchen (4.50 x 3.15m) fully fitted with a granite worktop and Belfast sink, a separate pantry (2.10 x 2.05m), and a door from the kitchen takes you out to the courtyard and summer kitchen.
  • Back into the entrance and to the right is the hallway (11.85m2) leading to the bedrooms. There is a log-burning stove in the hallway which heats this whole wing of the Finca.
